With so much time spent at our farm in Pennsylvania each summer, we figured we’d enjoy our winters off out west. Well, it turns out we miss the farm life more than we thought. So the hunt is on for a new piece of property!
San Diego is blessed with a mild climate and it’s possible to get outdoors, and even garden, year-round. As you move farther from the coast, land gets cheaper but the climate gets more extreme. Cold, frost and even snow in winter are common, as are triple digit temperatures in summer . So we’ve narrowed our search to the portion of “east county” that is far enough from the city to find acreage at a reasonable price, while staying close enough to the coast to enjoy the mild climate San Diego is famous for.
It may take some time to find the right place, but we’re sure it’ll be worth it!
