Cauliflower Crust Pizza

with No Comments

With all the pizza we eat in this family, I thought it would be fun to try something a little different. Cauliflower crust pizza has been trending lately, so I gave it a try. While it makes a lighter, healthier pizza, it’s actually quite a bit of extra work compared to a standard crust.

The end result was pretty tasty and I will probably make it on occasion, but the family consensus was that we definitely preferred a standard flour-based crust.

Wild Black Raspberry Jam

with No Comments

Black raspberries are some of the most delicious berries you’ll ever taste. The fact that they are rarely sold in stores but grow wild all over makes them really fun to hunt down.

Black raspberries ripen early, so once you’ve located a patch don’t wait too long to pick them!  After I’ve had my fill of fresh berries, it’s time to make some jam. There are few things better on a cold winter morning than black raspberry jam. One taste will instantly take you right back to June!

You can follow any basic red raspberry jam recipe, but leave out the lemon juice if the recipe calls for it.

Office Trip to Palm Springs

with No Comments

We kicked off summer with a weekend-long office trip to Palm Springs! With a huge pool, plenty of dedicated meeting space and very reasonable rates for a 4-star hotel, the Renaissance in Indian Wells is perfect for a quick business getaway. There’s also a full gym with beautiful views, and lots of tucked-away seating areas that can be used for impromptu meetings and more relaxed brainstorming sessions.

Not many pictures were taken – we were having too much fun!
