Even in San Diego, it can be hard to find the time to actually get down to the beach often enough. We forced the issue by renting a beach house for a month, and didn’t regret it one bit!

Beach Hopping in Florida

Our month-long trip to Florida, trying to hit as many beach cities as possible between Jacksonville and Miami. Such a blast!

We’ve already made plans to go back and hit the Gulf side, Naples to Pensacola.

Savannah, GA

During our 6 week mega-vacation in Asheville, the weather only turned dreary once. We took that opportunity to sneak in a side trip to Savannah where the weather, and sights, were beautiful!

 

Organ Mountains, New Mexico

We’ve driven through Las Cruces so many times, but never really stopped to visit. On our last trip through, we set aside a couple days to explore. The highlight had to be the Organ Mountains. We didn’t get a chance to hike all the way up to the lush pine forests near the peaks. Still, on our short 45 minute hike we experienced an amazing transition from hot dry desert to dripping wet springs and green oak trees.

We’ll definitely be back, there’s still so much to see in the Las Cruces area.
